[xplayingx |Katy Perry- Hot N Cold]

which is a first ever.

i want two things very bad right now
and they conflict with one another.

soon i am going to have to make some tough choices
and in the long run i hope i choose the right one.

it's been quite sometime since i have
been in this position but i am happy
to be in it.

merry christmas and happy new year, all of you.

Music of the Night [Aug. 24th, 2008|10:26 pm]
[xmoodx | !]

i just got back from seeing phantom of the opera
at the keller auditorium with increasingly gorgeous lizzy.

and.

it was simply amazing.

actually, it was far from simple.

quickly.

i made my way home afterward and
started writing a fantastic new song.

one i am going to make.

as complicated.
as dramatic.
as believable.

as the show i saw tonight.

cheers.

If The Dark Was Good and The Good Was Right [Jul. 18th, 2008|10:12 am]
[xmoodx | excited]
[xplayingx |Blck Keys- I Got Mine]

liz got her first teaching job
at gordon russell middle school
where most of my friends went
and i will soon learn all their
middle school secrets

tiger house is going oh so well
and we've been doing shows left
and or right

the turn out for all our shows
has been blowing me away because
i was under the impression when
you first start out you play to
a total of like 5 people

(this has not been so)

this weekend we will
be playing to a crowd
of 100+ and we are making
connections with a lot
of up and coming bands

i am learning a lot

so much so

i start back to school for some post-bach
graduate work and start my graduate program
in the spring

sing it out loud!

These Paper Bells Are Ringing Loud! [May. 9th, 2008|10:10 am]
[xmoodx | creative]
[xplayingx |M83- Kim & Jesse]

grad test went well over all
but i will have to retake math portion
because i am number-tarded.

there's a tiger in your house
is the current name of the band
because it is beyond ridiculous
but the music is wonderful also note
i am growing so much as a songwriter
and carl simpson is my musical lover.

i think that the songs are wonderful
and so far its really not what anyone
expected out of me

our first show
will be in June.

p.s. lizzy has been pulling teaching interviews left & right
and already has a job offer! nothing says sexxxy like educator.

teach me now!

gasp, balloons! [Feb. 29th, 2008|10:51 am]
[xmoodx | busy]
[xplayingx |Biffly Clyro]

i registered for my first test in Operation: Grad School.

which means i have a lot of
reviewing to get done for sure.

the time thats been flying by
between undergrad and grad
and i am happy to say i did
not waste it at all.

although i have missed school
i had a chance to instead focus entirely
on my music and the music i play with
other people and i can proudly
proclaim i no longer suck at it.

encouragement i have received from
lizzy and my best friends has been wonderful
and the time my close musician friends have
put in with me is wonderful and i can say
i am fully ready to take this to the next
level. keep an eye out for an update.

with that said...

i am off to write.

horus day is coming, sirs. [Dec. 6th, 2007|12:30 am]
[xmoodx | sick]
[xplayingx |Daft Punk- Alive!]

holy posting.

i am laying in bed with a shit terrible cold
and right now i think i deserve
an update on myself.

to be honest i am not sure if anyone reads this anymore...
hell, i barely do. i recall wanting to wrap this up months
and months ago.

but alas. i never did. it's like an old pet. you hate
to see it just sit there but you sure the hell don't want
to put it down. lame analogy done.

i am currently working a 2nd job to help pay my
way into grad school and it will all be worth it.

i am still working my way to get my masters in education
and am more than excited doing so.

in the last year i have grown a lot in music.

before it felt like a hobby. now it feels how
poetry felt for me all those years back...

a challenge.

and how it's grown.

i have an amazing house. with a man-cave/music room.
i also have my dear lizzy pushing and testing me all at
the same time loving me to her utmost ability.

which could be a struggle with a lot of the noise
i produce with various instruments below her feet.

i know she stays for the sexxx and the rock. i stay for the pasta...
also for the sexxx.

i hope all is well with everyone else. i am very well. and just
jogging along till i reach my final goal.

teaching 5 graders in the school year. playing/releasing music in the summer.

joy.

[xmoodx | awake]
[xplayingx |Guster- Satellite]

i bought an old mini organ at a yard sale for $2 yesterday--its actually sounds more like an accordion but the song ideas i have for it are limitless.

i am thinking about applying soon for the teaching master's program-- we will see.

other than that. it's been work.

work and music. and liz. and a bunch of friends.

seacrest, out.

Silverchair Bootleg! [Aug. 15th, 2007|09:26 pm]

I had a chance to record some "bootleg" video/audio for Silverchair on July 19th in Portland Or. for the local radio station 94/7 NRK.

I not only got to meet the guys but recorded some awesome stuff as well.

note that this is the first show in the North America tour...right after his laryngitis.

i also have a little "chat" with daniel after reflection of a sound. listen out for it.

enjoy.

i will go back and hear, read, see something

The God Delusion---Part II. [Feb. 16th, 2007|02:02 pm]
as this continues, please note that i am in no way going to use proper grammar, because much like a first draft of an essay on "insert pretentious topic here" it is easier to get your thoughts out with out going over less important rules such as semi-colons and apostrophes. and that is all i will say on the matter.

Religion Continued... )

The God Delusion---Part I. [Feb. 15th, 2007|02:04 pm]
so here is where i am going.

i decided that i will end this journal very soon.

and with that i am going to explore my history by reminiscing and writing about it. i haven't shared private thoughts online in a VERY long time. so to end my journal i will do so in fairness to the future me and those who have been reading it since it started.

I'll Start With Religion )

the girl and i
put up our x-mas
tree the other night

and we proceeded to decorate it
or liz did while i strung up
ninja turtles and gi-joes
as ornaments

we thought Bear (our surrogate dog) would
have peed on the tree but he has shown
no interest in the tree what so ever.

so i attempted to do so,
but liz had thwarted my plan.

she's got the reflexes of a
meth'd out cat, baby.
